En+ Downstream
En+ Downstream was set up in 2009 to consolidate aluminium downstream assets - Krasnoyarsk Metallurgical Plant KraMZ, Dmitrov Aluminium Can Tape Test Plant DOZAKL and Moscow Metal Structures MOSMEK. The products of En+ Downstream are sold both domestically, to consumers in the defense, aviation, transportation, ship-building, packaging and construction industries, and to more than ten foreign countries. En+ Downstream employs over 3,000 people.
En+ Downstream's feedstock is primary aluminium from UC RUSAL. KraMZ, the largest company's asset, receives liquid metal from the UC RUSAL's Krasnoyarsk aluminium smelter, which is a huge cost-cutting and manufacturing time-reducing factor.
En+ Downstream's output totaled 143.8 thd tons in 2010. The company's sales account for over 10% of the domestic extrusion market and for over 10% of the Russia's profile and building systems market.
The key element of the En+ Downstream's development plan is building a 420,000 ton rolling complex on the basis of KraMZ. A feasibility study is currently underway for what is to become the Russia's largest rolling mill.
