En+ Group started expanding it's activities in coal mining in 2008 with the aim to create a big international coal market player.
First acquisitions have been made in 2008: En+ Group acquired "VostSibUgol", the largest coal producer in Eastern Siberia with production more than 12 mtpa (futher was transferred to En+'s energy producer "EuroSibEnergo" that is the main consumer of the coal) and a controlling stake in coal producer "Erchim-Than" based in Yakutia region.
En+ Group is a bidder for Tavan Tolgoi coal deposit in Mongolia.
