Key highlights

In September 2009, En+ Group completed the consolidation of all of its energy assets onto a single platform of EuroSibEnergo, thus creating the Russia's largest private power company with a share of the overall electricity generation of about 9%.

The power plants of EuroSibEnergo have a total capacity of 19.5 GW, of which 15 GW are generated at the country's largest Krasnoyarsk, Bratsk, Ust-Ilimsk and Irkutsk HPPs. The CHPs of EuroSibEnergo have a 17,570 Gcal/h thermal capacity; the reserves at company's open-pit coal mines exceed 1.2 bn tonnes.

In 2009, the power plants of EuroSibEnergo produced 82,8 billion kWh, which brings the company to the second position among the Russian electricity producers (first - the state-owned EnergoAtom concern); the HPPs accounted for 83% (68.9bn kWh) of the total production.

The most important electricity consumers of OAO EuroSibEnergo (~50%) are the aluminium smelters of UC RUSAL.

In 2011 EuroSibEnergo and Chinese largest public hydroelectricity producer China Yangtze Power Co established a JV - YES Energo - to develop power projects in Eastern Siberia with total installed capavity of up to 10 GW. YES Energo will focus on hydro generation givern the vast untapped hydro power potential in Rusia's Siberia and Far East.  

The EuroSibEnergo's assets include controlling stakes in OAO IrkutskEnergo (including VostSibUgol Company), OAO Krasnoyarsk HPP, OOO Avtozavodskaya CHP, sales subsidiaries of ZAO MAREM+, ZAO VolgaEnergoSbyt, OOO EuroSibEnergo-Engineering, which were previously managed by OOO EuroSibEnergo.
