The Krasnoyarsk HPP is one of world's ten largest HPPs and Russia's second-largest in terms of installed capacity (6,000 MW). The plant's long term average power generation has been18bn kWh per year, providing over 50% of the electricity needs of the Krasnoyarsk region.
EuroSibEnergo has completed modernization of eight of the plant's power units with a total capacity of 4000 MW. Full modernization of JSC Krasnoyarsk HPP will be completed by the year 2012.
In March 2008, Krasnoyarsk HPP became one of the first of Russia's generating companies and electric energy suppliers to complete QMS ISO 9001:2000 certification.
