VostSibUgol is the largest energy coal producer in the Irkutsk region, and main supplier of solid fuel for the thermal plants of IrkutskEnergo JSC.
The assets of VostSibUgol include Mugunsky, Azeysky and Cheremkhovsky coal mines, a beneficiation plant and a number of transportation companies.
The coal production of VostSibUgol totaled to 9.5m tons in 2007.
The company's development strategy envisages a significant increase in coal production over the next 5 years.
