The VolgaEnergo Group's main asset is the Avtozavodskaya Thermal Power Plant in Nizhny Novgorod with generating capacity of 580MW and heating capacity of 1,650Gcalh; other assets are its electric and thermal grids, and the CJSC VolgaEnergoSbyt sales company.
The annual output of the Avtozavodskaya ThPP is 2.8bn kWh of electric energy and 4,300 Gcal of heating energy. Gorky Automobile Plant is the main industrial consumer of the energy produced at the Avtozavodskaya ThPP. The plant also supplies electricity and heat to more than 400,000 residents of Nizhny Novgorod's Avtozavodsky district.
VolgaEnergoSbyt sales company provides electricity to more than 2,000 customers. On January 1, 2008, the company was granted the status of ‘Guaranteeing Supplier' within the Nizhny Novgorod region.
