En+ Group has a strategic 48.1% shareholding in UC RUSAL which allows us to exercise corporate control

RUSAL is a low cost, vertically integrated, and low carbon aluminium producer that accounts for approximately 6.2% of global aluminium output. The Company is the largest global aluminium producer outside of China.

RUSAL’s operations include the extraction and refinement of bauxite into alumina and the production and sale of primary aluminium, alumina and related products. RUSAL’s core smelting operations, located in Siberia, are major consumers of the power produced by the En+ Power.

RUSAL currently has annual aluminium production capacity of 3.9 million metric tonnes, due to increase by over 1 million metric tonnes with the construction of the Taishet smelter and the expansion of the Boguchansk smelter, part of the Boguchansk Energy and Metals Complex (BEMO) in Siberia.

RUSAL owns 12 aluminium smelters, 10 alumina refineries and a 50% interest in the BEMO Project. The company also holds a 27.8% shareholding in Norilsk Nickel, the world’s second largest nickel producer and largest palladium producer.

RUSAL strives to achieve leadership in operational efficiency and is already among the three most cost-effective aluminium producers in the world. The company’s in-house R&D, engineering and design capabilities enable it develop new technologies that help to streamline production and cut capital and operation costs.
